With the X-ray image and a practical metal detector for invasive use it is much easier locating the parts.

It’s saving tissue and sinews of the wounded patient. The result is a faster healing process and for you as the doctor it’s not a nerve consuming process (alternately looking at the the X-ray-monitor and back to the wound). And less X-rays for your own precious hands.

The dobert-MAL is a high- density detector with a locating depth about 50 mm for a the head of a pin.

This long-life tool is total easy and simple to handle, with the sound variation you can locate the metal very fast. The device is battery driven (9 Volt standard block) and completely isolated. It works with an extreme low power.

For exquisite ergonomic handling the detector has a Start-/Stop-Automatic.
I.e. putting the probe on/against a piece of big metal the sound is switching off. Removing the probe from the big metal (metal desk or similar) for the moments of real searching the sound is active. So the sound is only active when you are using the probe, the other times it’s quiet.

The complete probe inclusive cable and plug is fully sterilizable at 140°C (275°F) for 20-30 minutes.
